This short but informative journey gives an opportunity to see a number of unique historic monuments representing different stages of development of the human race alongside with the most beautiful natural phenomena such as waterfalls, moraine lakes, magnificent rocky canyons and all this in three days.
The route begins from the Kasym-Kol lake where on the surface of the ancient sun-burnt stones on which thousands of years ago pre-historic artist scratched their drawings.
The scenes of animals attacking each other, the outlines of goats and deer are presented here in the typical Scythian-Syberian style.
Further on the route crosses the valley of the river Shep-Turgen surrounded by the high rocky walls, runs across the highland pastures situated in the alpine zone and get to the upper parts of the Turgen ravine. Here at the height of 3000meters above sea level we find the proofs of the former glory of the Saki warriors: they are the wonderfully preserved hand-made mounds located on the plateau in a puzzling pattern of design. Their construction dates back to the year 500 B.C.
On the way down the valley one can admire the magnificent waterfalls and most beautiful lakes. The valley is famous for its relic chim-turgen mossy fir groves.
