TURGEN WATERFALLS
Turgen is one of the most beautiful gorges in Zailisky range. While you’re moving by the road that stretches deep into the canyon along the Turgen River, you feast your eyes on the richness of the luxuriant vegetation. Turgen valley is also known for its waterfalls: there are 7 big in this area.
TIEN SHAN GLACIERS
There are 370 glaciers in the central part of the Northern Tien Shan, with a total area of 540 sq.m. In this part, the height of the range exceeds 3.200m anywhere, and it reaches its maximum (5.017 m) in the Talgar Massif

ASY HIGHLAND PLATEAU
The best place to discover the nomad’s life is to come to Asy (Assy) plateau, which is located 100km to the east from Almaty: it is a huge valley at a height of 2100-2800m above sea level, about 40km long.
SINGING DUNE
Singing Dune is a huge sand hill with overall height of 150m and length about 3 kilometers, located on a right bank if Ili river, in central part of Altyn Emel National Park
KAINDY LAKE
Famous Kaindy lake appeared in 1911 after a earthquake. The natural dam stopped the flow of Kaindy river so it flooded the forest in the depth of the gorge and formed a highland lake. The tallest pine trees are still there inside a lake: their tops look like a strange paling above the turquoise water surface
TAMGALY (TANBALY) PETROGLYPHS
The Tamgaly (also called Tanbaly) “open-air” gallery, named after a Tamgaly river in the southeast part of Chu-Ili Mountains. The complex consists of more than 5.000 petroglyphs (rock carvings) dating from the second half of the second millennium BC to the beginning of the 20th century
