7 day trip by Altai

  Day 1

UST – KAMENOGORSK / KIIN –KERISH (313 km)
Our guide will meet you In Ust-Kamenogorsk. You will continue the journey by comfortable car to the ZAISAN lake.
The legendary KIIN-KERISH hills are located on the shore of ZAISAN lake. This is a place with Martian landscapes from deposits of variegated colored, mostly red, clay. This place is called the "City of Spirits" and is considered as one of the most mystical in Kazakhstan.
We will spend our first night in tents (tent camping), on the shore of the ZAISAN lake.

  Day 2

KIIN – KERISH / MARKAKOL LAKE (200 km)
Our goal today is the most beautiful alpine lake - MARKAKOL. You will be surprised by the change of climate and landscape on the way from the desert to the mountains.
MARKAKOL is filled with clear waters, rare species of fish are found here, kites hover over the lake.
Bears, elks, wild boars and other animals are found in the taiga forests. We’ll spend the night in a small village URUNHAYKA on the shore of the lake.

  Day 3

MARKAKOL LAKE / OLD AUSTRIAN ROAD/ “YASNAYA POLYANA” GUEST HOUSE (100 km)
From MARKAKOL we’ll follow the path of legendary OLD AUSTRIAN ROAD. It was built in the period of the First World War from 1914 to 1916 by Austrian and Czech prisoners. We will drive along the beautiful valley of the KORA-KOBA river, crossing it through old wooden bridges.
In the evening "YASNAYA POLYANA“ guesthouse will meet us with delicious village dinner and a wood-burning banya (sauna).

  Day 4

"YASNAYA POLYANA“ GUESTHOUSE / RAKHMANOVSKOE LAKE (60 km)
After breakfast we will go to the RAKHMANOVSKOYE lake in the territory of the hot mineral waters sanatorium. Here you can walk along the shore of the lake, go boating and see the picturesque waterfall.
Our main goal here is a hiking tour to the JOYFUL pass. From here there is an amazing view on the surrounding mountains and the BELUKHA mountain. The hiking tour will take about 2 hours. After lunch and little rest, we will go back to the guest house.

  Day 5

"YASNAYA POLYANA“ GUEST HOUSE / YAZEVOE LAKE (50 km)
Today we’ll visit amazing YAZEVOE lake. In clear weather from its shores you can greet the BELUKHA mountain.
By the way we will stop at the YAZEVYI cascade waterfall. Its 10 cascades have a length of 200 meters. In the vicinity you can enjoy sweet blueberries and walk along the forest paths!
Upon arrival on the lake shore, we will set up a camping and have a dinner by the fire.

  Day 6

YAZEVOE LAKE / "YASNAYA POLYANA“ GUEST HOUSE (60 km)
In the early morning we invite everyone to meet the sunrise on the "YAZEVOE" lake with a haze, disappearing from the first rays of the sun.
By the way back to our guest house we'll visit bee farm. Here everyone can taste and buy valued Altay honey and lay on the bee bed above beehive with the sound of bees. It's a very effective way for relaxation and health support.

  Day 7

"YASNAYA POLYANA“ GUEST HOUSE / UST – KAMENOGORSK (390 km)
After country breakfast go back home with fields of golden sunflowers and a fair wind!
Scenic road, Bukhtarma ferry crossing will fill this day with the best impressions.
By the way we will visit one more unique place - AK-BAUR. It is also called “Kazakhstan Stonehenge”.AK-BAUR is an archeological monument, which includes: rock paintings, a settlement and burial mounds.
